Pre-Law Transfer Event

This event was for transfer students who are looking to transfer into UF and to pursue a field in law. The meeting was conducted by the UF law advisor, Ms. Rebecca Sandbach, in Farrior Hall on the UF campus. During the event Ms. Sandbach covered an array of information that is useful to pre-law students. She gave a basic rundown of how the LSAT works and how the LSAC calculates your GPA based on your transcripts. Ms. Sandbach talked about some of the top law schools in Florida, the steps we need to take to apply to them, and the LSAT score we would need to be a competitive applicant. She also talked about the various fields of law that a law student could specialize in and how it is important to choose an area of law that we find interesting. She also gave us recommendations for LSAT prep books and programs that we may find useful when studying for the LSAT.
